5.0 out of 5 stars One of Lorraine Nelson’s finest books
ByMichelle Fayardon December 12, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
Beautifully poignant and riveting, DANGER IN BRENNAN HOLLOW is a book readers won’t easily forget. The plot is immediately gripping, and the characters are ones you instantly relate to and care deeply about. The heroine, Vicki Brennan, learns to overcome the worst kind of challenges with strength and grace—and through the unconditional love of hero Noah Jenson, a man who carries similar scars on his soul. Vicki and Noah are more than real; they and their love for one another are inspirational, and author Lorraine Nelson does a phenomenal job bringing the characters and their love for one another to life. Combined with Ms. Nelson’s trademark page-turning suspense, outdoor settings and beautifully written dialogue, this is a book that will bring joy to readers whether they are looking for a sweet read or a heart-pounding plot. You’ll be cheering—and agreeing—as Vicki affirms, “Yes, she’d gone through hell and back, but the important thing for her to remember was that she was back.”
5.0 out of 5 starsLoved it. Wish I had read it much earlier.

"Danger in Brennan Hollow" by Lorraine Nelson is one of my all time favorite books this year, and I've read many. This book had everything in a mystery, danger, romance (not too hot and heavy but just enough to make it enjoyable.)
Victoria Brennan was targeted by a sick individual who raped, stabbed, and carved her face up. She returns home to heal. No longer the beauty of the town she keeps to herself. Throw in the fact that she has amnesia and can't remember who attacked her and we have a great mystery on our hands.
Noah Jenson is also in town to heal after a stint in the military left him without a leg. He vows to help the local police, Victor (Victoria's father), and Victoria put the pieces together and bring her attacker to justice. Only problem is that the attacker seems to have found out where Victoria lives.
I totally didn't want to put this book down. I had bought it last year and it got lost in the many books of my Kindle until I caught up on my reading and it popped up. I'm so glad that it did. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Battered and scarred, no longer the beautiful social butterfly she had been, Victoria Brennan returns home to heal. Physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Unable to bear the pitying glances bestowed on her by the townsfolk, she’s in danger of becoming aloof and withdrawn…until she meets her new neighbor.
Noah Jenson, medically discharged from his duty, wants to be away from prying eyes. When he comes upon Victoria on his property, he is outraged. Yet, when her mugger from the city follows her home, he finds himself drawn to her, taking on the role of her protector. But he is no Prince Charming, certainly not with his new prosthesis.
The physical pain and emotional adjustments are pushing them apart, but where there's attraction, there's always a hope for love.
What a very emotional book. Two lost souls hating the world and themselves after what happened to them. One hurt and left for dead and one hurt during war. Two people overcame and fall for each other. But Victoria still has madman after her to finish the job. Will he get her or will she live?

I love this book. It had romance and danger in the book. I felt like I was standing there and watching everything going on. Suspense until the very end. I will be buying more of Lorraine Nelson's books. I don't want to say any more as I don't want to give away any details.
