4.0 out of 5 stars A hero to fall in love with
ByMichelle Fayardon December 9, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
Hands down, the best part about SUITED TO BE A COWBOY is the hero, James “Jimmy” McGovern. Jimmy is better than a fantasy, for in addition to being a knight in shining armor, through the skillful writing of author Lorraine Nelson, readers will fall under the spell of a truly wonderful man who wants to give more than just his love to the heroine; Jimmy wants to see Melissa Dehavilland become confident enough to believe in her strength and abilities, as much as he believes in them. Men like these are rare, and romances featuring such a fantastic man are true jewels. Add in a Western ranch setting filled with equestrian themes—and someone determined to ruin the Dehavillands, both Melissa and her 10-year-old son, Aaron, as well as their prize-winning thoroughbreds—and you have a book that will give readers plenty of reasons to keep turning the pages.

Jimmy has been on his own for a very long time. He works for a big firm. A successful businessman is the last thing he truly wants to be. He hates living in the city and longs for the country life. He has been saving up for a ranch of is own. Going to work one day he sees a train that has derailed and horses are running everywhere. There is a woman trying but having a hard time corralling them. He goes and helps the woman. Rounding up the horses he realizes that he needs to get out of the city. When he comes across an ad for an accountant for a ranch, he thinks it is the perfect situation to get him out of the city and to start looking for a ranch of his own.
Melissa's son has inherited his grandfathers ranch. Melissa loves the ranch as much as her young son. So when she divorces her dead beat husband, the ranch is what they call home. The horse ranch is exactly what they want. The books are a mess and in need of an account to go over them. So she places an ad.
What a good story. Jimmy and Melissa are meant for each other and the road they take to get there is full of action, drama and danger. The story does contain some sex, so adults only. A great read for anyone looking for romance and is willing to go to extra lengths for love. Great story by a wonderful author.

Once again Lorraine Nelson brings incredible grit and realism to a fiction story. I've read so many of her books and I never tire of the way she is able to weave each tale with such phenomenal flow and imagery. Hooked from the first word of another gripping page-turner. Each of her books unfold like a movie as I read them and I never want them to end.
I'm not one to give details for the books I read...just trust me. This is a must add to your TBR.
